It is a strange landscape that stretches over 1200km, a surreal and barren region of volcanoes, salt flats, cacti, moon-like valleys, geysers and remote villages. Explore the narrow streets and unique architecture, but at an elevation of 2,438 metres it is worth taking the evening to relax and become adjusted to the altitude in preparation for the next day's exciting events.
