Day 1-2: Anchorage & Homer Found at the head of Resurrection Bay on the Kenai Peninsula, Homer is renowned for its bear and whale viewing and made famous as 'The End of the Road' in Tom Bodett's tales. Surrounded by wilderness and ocean, Homer is also called "the cosmic hamlet by the sea" and is a picturesque town with a bustling harbour and dramatic surrounding scenery. It is the perfect place for you to kick off your Alaskan adventure with some of the fun local activities, such as sea fishing and kayaking as well as the chance for a full day bear viewing tour, which is not to be missed! Accommodation: Budget lodging included

Day 3-4: Seward & Kenai Fjord National Park The spectacular coastal town of Seward awaits your arrival and this is a town not to be missed. Known for its beautiful mountain and bay scenery, as well as its superb location to Kenai Fjords National Park. Seward offers both land-based and marine wildlife as well as a wonderful selection of tours, cruises and activities. Why not head out on a cruise to Kenai Fjords where you can spot Killer Whales, porpoises and sea otter, and hear glaciers calve huge chunks of ice into the sea with an ear-splitting crack! Accommodation: Budget lodging included

Day 5-6: Denali National Park You'll be glad summer puts in so many overtime hours of daylight this far north as it's time to get stuck into the vast expanse of Denali National Park. Along the way we stop in at Talkeetna for the chance to try Reindeer sausage, before arriving to the awe-inspiring national park for endless views and hiking opportunities. The Denali rangers encourage visitors to get off the beaten track and you'll soon feel like a real explorer as you head out into this vast wilderness. Try and spot the `Big Five'; Caribou, wolves, Dall sheep, moose and Grizzly bears as you hike in the shadows of Mt. McKinley, North America's highest mountain. Accommodation: Budget lodging included

Day 7: Tangle Lakes Tangle Lakes is a great place to chill out after a challenging and extremely scenic drive along the McCarthy and Denali Highways, crossing the famous 800-mile-long Alaskan Pipeline. Lake-splattered green plains stretch to distant mountains and some wilderness canoeing should up your pulse rate. Accommodation: Budget lodging included

Day 8-10: Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Anchorage The scenery just keeps on getting better and better as you take the scenic road along the Alaska Mountain Range. Untended trails, unpaved roads and unending views for the next 2 days are exactly what you signed up for! As the Wrangell Mountains cast their lengthy shadow, ready yourself for some top-notch glacier action. How about a guided hike on the Kennecott Glacier, or for a more vertical challenge, grab an axe for a spot of ice climbing on Root Glacier. Finally, with pockets full of postcards and memories we're back from the wilderness and into civilisation. Anchorage is a city that has it all, heaps of local walking trails, shops aplenty and a great bar and restaurant scene, so we suggest staying a few extra days after the tour to explore. This tour ends at our gateway hotel at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.
