Day 1-2: New York Area, Philadelphia & Washington DC Strap on your boxing gloves and head for Philadelphia's famous `Rocky' steps and recreate a piece of movie history. Cast your eyes on Independence Hall where brave men gathered at the Pennsylvania State House and defied the King of England which helped shape U.S Constitution. Why not peruse the Reading Terminal Market and if all this action has got you hungry, grab yourself an iconic Philly cheese steak one of the many famous local specialities not to be missed! Washington DC is next on the agenda and you will really enjoy the grandeur of the nation's capital. From the impressive Smithsonian Museums to the White House and the city's trendy bars, the capital has something for everyone. Why not hire a bike to cover more ground and then take advantage of the great night life in Georgetown. Accommodation: Camping included

 

Day 3: Shenandoah National Park Follow the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park for stunning views across the Valley. The Appalachian Trail puts earth under your boots, great oaks overhead and huge scenery every which way you look. Enjoy this amazing hike! Accommodation: Camping included

 

Day 4: West Virginia West Virginia is famous for its mountain scenery and there is heaps to do but one thing you definitely must do is an optional Whitewater rafting trip down the Ocoee River. If you want to stay on dry land but still want in on all the action, try your hand at zip lining through the trees for an awesome bird's eye view of this beautiful Mountain State. Day 5-6: Great Smoky Mountains National Park You'll have no problem understanding why this is the most visited national park in America, it is simply stunning. Known to the Cherokee people as the 'Place of Blue Smoke', the valleys offer great walking trails to explore. As you hike the amazing trails, keep your eyes peeled for the American black bear and the native white-tail deer. Accommodation: Camping included

 

Day 7: Nashville Leaving the Appalachians you head to the centre of American country music in Nashville, Tennessee. Expect a big slice of Southern charm where country and western music fills the air, you'll be toe-tapping in no time. You can't come all the way to the music capital without paying a visit to the Jonny Cash Museum or the Country Music Hall of Fame, where you can learn all about the history and traditions of country music. If you didn't like country music before you arrived we're pretty sure you'll be an expert in all things country as you leave. Accommodation: Camping included

 

Day 8: Indiana Follow the Kentucky Bourbon Trail en route to Indiana and you're sure to be blown away by the superb scenery as you enter the land of the `Great Lakes'. With a capital full of culture, amazing nightlife and a wide mix of culinary delights, you're bound to be more than impressed. Accommodation: Camping included

 

Day 9-10: Chicago Chicago is a city that should not be overlooked, it is awesome! Home to North America's tallest building, the Willis Tower which helps make up an incredible skyline that towers over the sandy shoreline of Lake Michigan. Hit all the highlights on our included Bobby's Bike Hike tour of Chicago, including views of the Willis Tower and Navy Pier and work up an appetite for a slice of Chicago's famous deep dish pizza. Listen out for the city's unofficial anthem "Sweet Home Chicago", ringing out from the hip blues joints on soulful Halsted Street. Accommodation: Hostel included

 

Day 11: Ohio Cross the Midwest to Cedar Point Amusement Park - home of the Millennium Force - the greatest roller coaster in the world! If the thrill of the ride gets too much for you, head to Lake Erie where you'll be camping for the night. Simply relax on the sandy shoreline or grab your swimsuit and go for a little swim or kayak, but whatever you do make sure you stick around for sunset, it sure is beautiful. Day 12: Niagara Falls Then it's on to one of America's greatest natural attractions, Niagara Falls. Experience the full force of the falls as you don your blue poncho and hop aboard the Maid of the Mist cruise, just prepare to get a little wet as you get up close and personal to a serious amount of water. For the ultimate show head to the falls at night and see the falls lit up in all their glory. Accommodation: Camping included

 

Day 13-14: Finger Lakes & New York Area A last stop in the rural Finger Lakes region of New York State lets you get back to nature before you heading to the hustle and bustle of the city. Finger Lakes is a unique place full of beautiful waterfalls and world class wineries. On your way to New York City stop off at Woodbury Common Premium Outlet Mall for some last minute shopping before you say goodbye to your new Trek buddies. Be sure to leave yourself a day or two to experience the excitement of the Big Apple. Add an Urban Adventure and have the ease of being guided to all the cities hotspots by a local New Yorker. This tour ends at our gateway hotel at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.
